From Berniece, Tuesday.  Justin went first to surgery early and Jon went to preop at 8:30.  So presently at 10:30 they're both in surgery.  Jon's HSBC buddies are her and Justin's family plus Miranda's SS teacher and Pastor Scott.  We've been to the cafeteria and back now in the room to wait for their return after recovery.  The calls back to the wives from the OR has been positive so far, so just wanted you to know what we know.  Our dau Lynette from NC is here so it's nice to have a family reunion. ba

Had a wonderful prayer time at First Nazarene, Huntsville for Jonathan and Justin.  They'll be admitted to Erlanger Hospital, Chattanooga tomorrow morning and Justine will go to surgery Tu at 8 AM and Jonathan will go at 10 AM Tuesday.  'Learning to lean' on Jesus.  ba

Jonathan and Justin saw the transplant physicians today and did the final blood work for the transplant.  Everything is on schedule for next week.

Called to Help Our Brothers in Christ

Quentin Nusz and Carla {Nusz} Cook, families near Wichita, KS have been friends with the Andruses for 25 years.  Yes, we go away back!  When we heard of Jonathan's upcoming kidney transplant and Justin's desire to donate the 'gift of life', we felt led to help. We decided to set up a blog where their friends can be updated on their progress and also where they can help them financially if they wish.  As of now the surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb 26.  They will be admitted to Erlanger Hospital, Chattanooga, TN.  Jonathan has had a low-grade fever for a couple weeks after dialysis but has taken a round of antibiotics and hasn't had a temp this last week.  Thank the Lord.  We all are praying and trusting the Lord for a successful surgery next week. Thank you all for your concern and we know the family would covet your prayers as they go through this difficult time. The family will keep us posted.
